DESTINATION: POLAND

In the school half term last week, i travelled to Poland with the school for 4 days. We stayed in Krakow and visited the town and many of the tourist attractions around Krakow including Auchwitz's and Schindler's museum. It was really interesting and defiantly a strange experience visiting the concentration camps - very emotional. I saw some shocking things in Auchwitz; pile of shoes and suitcases which was extremely sad. But i would recommend anyone to go as it's something that you should visit. I wasn't expecting Krakow to be as nice as it was, the square was really pretty all lit up and the buildings were beautiful. I'm not sure what the Polish cuisine is but the food we had in our hotel was not nice!! I'm quite disappointed i didn't try more of their food and just stuck with the traditional chicken burgers/wraps from Mcdonald's and KFC. We also visited the salt mine in Krakow which was interesting as they had carvings and huge rooms that were lit up with chandeliers. I really enjoyed the trip especially being with my friends and we even survived the bitter cold snow!

Next trip: Vegas!
